Focus and Scope

Shirkah: Journal of Economics and Business focuses its discussion concerning on the topic of Islamic Economics and Business. This journal mostly covers the areas of Islamic finance, Islamic philanthropy, Islamic economics thoughts, and Islamic marketing.

  1. The topic of Islamic finance limits the discussion related to Islamic monetary and sharia microfinance such as Islamic monetary system, sharia capital market, sharia banking, financial technology, and Sukuk.
  2. The theme of Islamic philanthropy concerns on the topics related to governance, technology, and users' behavior of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf.
  3. The area of Islamic economics thought scrutinizes the Islamic economics growth and development in the world, as well as examining popular Islamic economics ideas.
  4. The issue of Islamic marketing directs the discourses about mutual consent of pure and lawful products and services including halal industry (food, tourism, and lifestyle), management-based Islamic values, Accounting, and entrepreneurship.

By promoting critical discussion on the current issues of these areas, the journal represents an excellent forum for highlighting the profile of Islamic economics and business on both national and international levels.
